Who owns TransIndus?
TransIndus is owned and run by its co-founder Amrit Singh, the only person with significant control on the register, with 25% to 50%; a second shareholder's registered stake ended in December 2023.
The team page names her only as Amrit, co-founder and managing director, born in Yangon and raised in India, who studied genetics in London and worked in pharmaceutical sales before starting the company. Companies House gives her surname and shows her a director since before September 1991. Harmit Kaur's 25% to 50% holding ceased on 12 December 2023, with no reason given. Two long-serving directors, Mohanjit Kaur Summy and Barry John Penaligon, are not on the public team page.
In April 2026 National Westminster Bank registered a legal charge over a property at 24 Chatsworth Road, London W5.

Classic India, an escorted group tour, is the fullest example: 16 days from £2,695, a single supplement of £1,395, eight Saturday departures from 17 October 2026 to 3 April 2027, and 15 nights in named hotels from the Grand Imperial in Agra to the Jaipur Marriott, with guides, internal travel, breakfasts and entrance fees included. International flights are extra on the group tours; Classic Vietnam, a tailor-made trip, includes them from London.
TransIndus booking terms and financial protection
TransIndus takes the higher of £500 per person or 20% as a deposit, wants the balance 70 days before departure and holds ATOL 3429, with ABTOT protection stated for trips without flights but no ABTOT number printed.

The booking conditions make TransIndus the company you contract with for the holiday, and its agent only for the scheduled flights, ferries and trains it books. Amendments cost £50 per set per person, or £100 if the departure date changes. AITO lists it as member 5131. Trustpilot's company panel shows "ABTA Membership & Bond No. V0705", which appears nowhere on TransIndus's own pages and could not be checked at ABTA.
Who plans a TransIndus trip
TransIndus names five people on its team page, and two state first-hand ties to the region they sell: the co-founder, raised in India, and Hari, who worked for the Taj Group of Hotels for six years.
Roop, regional sales manager, is described as having "first-hand knowledge" of Asia without a country named; Brijesh leads business strategy and Cameron marketing. The team page says its staff come "from Kent in the UK, to Yangon in Myanmar, to Hyderabad in India".
Support on the ground
TransIndus prints no 24-hour number for travellers: its home page says "Trusted Local Teams and Suppliers" are available around the clock, and the one 24-hour line it publishes, 01702 811397, is the ABTOT helpline for use only if TransIndus fails.
The London line, +44 (0)20 8566 3739, is published with office hours. Trip pages promise "hand-picked, local expert guides" without saying whether any are its own staff, and no TransIndus office is named anywhere in Asia.
