Do I need to book tickets and tours in advance?
For the headline attractions, the Sagrada Família, the Royal Alcázar, the Vatican Museums, the Tower of London, yes: days or weeks ahead in season, because timed entry sells out. For smaller sights and most tours a day or two is enough. Booking ahead also locks in the skip-the-line entry that saves the most time.
Is a skip-the-line ticket worth it?
At the busiest landmarks, yes: it saves one to two hours in peak season, and at the Alcázar and the Vatican it is effectively the only way in without a very early start. At quieter attractions the standard ticket is fine. Each ticket page says which category the attraction falls into.
Can I cancel a tour or ticket?
