Pick a finder that matches how you want to start: by destination, by being matched or by place. Virtuoso, Travel Leaders Network, Dream Vacations, Departure Lounge and ASTA's VeriVacation let you search by destination; Fora, InteleTravel and Avoya match you; Cruise Planners searches by ZIP code. We read all nine finder pages on 17 October 2026 and recorded what each asks for, where the page shows it.

Five of the nine let you start from a destination, three match you with an advisor and one searches by place; there is no score and no ranking.

Read the record the agency publishes: Fora, Virtuoso, Dream Vacations, Gifted Travel Network and Avoya print Seller of Travel numbers on their own sites; ASTA's VeriVacation lists advisors it calls ASTA-credentialed. Ask any agency whether it holds a Seller of Travel registration and in which state. Ask which company takes your payment. Then read its reviews on more than one platform, such as Trustpilot and the BBB.
Five questions settle most of it: what you charge, how you are paid, which hotel programme you book under, who takes the payment and what happens if something goes wrong.
Send both the same brief and compare the replies line by line: the rate, the perks, the fee and how specifically each answered. Our travel advisor fees page shows what 13 US companies publish about what they charge.
For a luxury trip, start with Virtuoso's search filtered by your destination; for a cruise, Cruise Planners or Dream Vacations; to be matched with an advisor, InteleTravel (no booking fee, per its FAQ) or Fora. Before you pay a deposit, ask which company takes your payment and whether the agency holds a Seller of Travel registration.

This page gives no score and no ranking; finders are grouped by how they work. A finder is included if a company in our travel advisors table has a public tool on its own site to search for an individual advisor or be matched with one. KHM Travel Group (its site would not open), Gifted Travel Network (its Our Advisors page showed no form) and AAA Travel (an office locator, not an advisor search) are left out. No company on this page pays Uncompromised Travel. Sources: each company's own site, the BBB, Trustpilot and TravelPulse, read 17 October 2026. How this site earns · How we work.
