This record is the evidence file behind that score. It sets out what Six Senses and IHG publish about the brand, how Forbes Travel Guide and the MICHELIN Guide rate the Six Senses hotels we could read, what could not be found, and where our own pages and IHG's own pages disagree.

Six Senses publishes its open-hotel and room counts, its pipeline total and its chief executive's name; it publishes less about when IHG acquired it and how IHG One Rewards applies: no acquisition date, no head office address and no statement of whether IHG One Rewards points can be earned or redeemed at a Six Senses hotel. How to book Six Senses, and whether IHG One Rewards points apply
IHG's benefits chart names Six Senses in two exclusions, member-only rates and, at select locations, a food and drink reward; no IHG or Six Senses page we opened says whether members earn or redeem points at a Six Senses hotel.
On IHG's One Rewards membership benefits page, Six Senses appears only in the list of IHG brands, where selecting it "will load the Six Senses website in a new browser window." IHG's benefits chart names Six Senses twice: member-only rates "are not available at Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas or IHG Army Hotels," and the food and drink reward is available "at all IHG brands except IHG Army Hotels and select Six Senses locations," which by its wording leaves the other Six Senses locations inside it. Neither page states whether a member earns or redeems IHG One Rewards points at a Six Senses hotel. Our hierarchy states that Six Senses is bookable through IHG's programme, and our Hilton Diamond vs Marriott Titanium vs Hyatt Globalist page lists it among IHG's luxury brands; our Direct vs Amex FHR vs Virtuoso page goes the other way, grouping Six Senses under no status anywhere. Six Senses suits a traveller who wants wellness programming and a resort under 100 rooms without a stated points programme; it suits less well anyone who wants confirmed IHG status or a Michelin-starred restaurant on site.
