Park Hyatt is fifteenth of the twenty brands on our luxury hotel brand hierarchy, at 75 out of 100: a Hyatt Hotels Corporation brand that dates itself to 1979, with 9,376 rooms at the end of 2025, a Key at 18 of the 45 hotels the MICHELIN Guide lists under its name, and no hotel or country count on any Hyatt page we opened. This record is the evidence file behind that score. How Park Hyatt scores: 75 out of 100

Park Hyatt scores 75 out of 100, fifteenth of twenty brands: 21 of 25 for consistency across the portfolio, 15 of 20 for service depth, 15 of 20 for privacy and scale, 12 of 20 for rate band and 12 of 15 for food and drink. The points are the luxury hotel brand hierarchy's of 7 September 2026, carried unchanged; under each criterion is what we could read on 26 September 2026. The hierarchy prints no hotel count for Park Hyatt, and nothing we read contradicts a figure it does print.

Hyatt publishes when Park Hyatt began, how many rooms it had at the end of 2025 and what its best rate guarantee pays if a lower price turns up elsewhere; it publishes no hotel or country count, no nightly rate, no staff numbers or butler service, and no leader named for the brand itself. Who owns Park Hyatt?

Park Hyatt is owned by Hyatt Hotels Corporation, headquartered in Chicago, Illinois; Hyatt names Mark Hoplamazian as its chairman, president and chief executive officer, though no Park Hyatt page names either the parent company or a brand-specific leader.

Hyatt's release of 17 September 2026 gives its ticker as NYSE: H and says the company is headquartered in Chicago. A separate release of 9 September 2026 names Mark Hoplamazian as chairman, president and chief executive officer of Hyatt. Park Hyatt's own story page says only that "Since 1979" the brand has united design, art, chef-led dining and intuitive service, naming no individual founder or first hotel. Hyatt's 2025 annual report gives the head office as 150 North Riverside Plaza, 8th Floor, Chicago (map).

Our luxury hotel brand hierarchy names the owner simply as Hyatt, which matches Hyatt Hotels Corporation and is not in dispute here. The gap that does carry to the hierarchy's next quarterly re-score is a portfolio count, not an owner: neither Park Hyatt nor Hyatt publishes one, set out in full below.

How many hotels does Park Hyatt have?

Neither Park Hyatt nor Hyatt publishes a single hotel or country count: the brand's own explore page shows "53 Results" without saying what they count, and a search under the Park Hyatt name on the MICHELIN Guide lists 45 hotels, of which 18 hold a Key. Room counts, where Hyatt or the MICHELIN Guide publish them, are precise and range from 31 to 336.

Room counts above come from the MICHELIN Guide's own hotel pages: Johannesburg, Kyoto, Istanbul, Niseko Hanazono, Milano, Vienna, Paris-Vendôme, New York and Abu Dhabi; Tokyo's count of 171 rooms, including 29 suites, and Toronto's of 336 come from Hyatt and the MICHELIN Guide's Toronto listing respectively. How Park Hyatt's hotels are rated by Forbes Travel Guide and the MICHELIN Guide

The MICHELIN Guide gives a Key to 18 of the 45 Park Hyatt hotels it lists, Two of them at Bangkok and Vienna; the one Park Hyatt hotel we could read on Forbes Travel Guide, Sydney, is rated Four-Star.

Forbes Travel Guide grades hotels Recommended, Four-Star or Five-Star; its page for Park Hyatt Sydney is the only Park Hyatt profile we could read. Park Hyatt New York's Forbes page returned a generic ratings explainer instead of its own profile, and Park Hyatt Tokyo's redirected to the Forbes home page; neither is treated here as rated. The MICHELIN Guide's own hotel pages give Bangkok and Vienna Two Keys, and Tokyo, Kyoto, Chicago, Toronto and Sydney One Key each; Paris-Vendôme and New York carry none. Park Hyatt's own food and wine page also names Kyoyamato, described there as Michelin two star and linked to Park Hyatt Kyoto, and NARISAWA in Tokyo, a two Michelin starred restaurant named alongside its chef; neither page states whether the restaurant sits inside a Park Hyatt hotel, so this record does not count either one as a Park Hyatt restaurant.

Park Hyatt books through Hyatt, whose best rate guarantee pays its bonus in World of Hyatt points and whose Paris-Vendôme page tells members they can save by booking direct; the World of Hyatt pages we opened list no brands by name.

World of Hyatt's landing page, free-nights page and Globalist benefits page, each read on 26 September 2026, do not mention Park Hyatt specifically; the free-nights page says points redeem from rooms at Hyatt hotels and resorts to all inclusive hotels and Miraval resorts, without naming individual brands. Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme's own page tells members they "can save more" booking direct, and Hyatt's best rate guarantee matches a lower publicly available rate and adds 20% off or 5,000 World of Hyatt points, claimed within 24 hours of booking. Hyatt's travel-adviser programme page and the American Express Fine Hotels and Resorts hotel list both returned no content to our reader.

Park Hyatt suits a traveller who wants a hotel in a well-known city or a single resort, from a brand that says it unites design, art and chef-led dining, and who will book on points or a best rate guarantee rather than a published nightly rate; it suits less well anyone who wants a stated portfolio count, a MICHELIN Key at every hotel, or Forbes coverage beyond Sydney.
