Of nine assessed, none publishes a success rate, only 10xTravel states that it will not take your frequent-flyer login, and only 10xTravel and JetBetter say what happens to your money when no seat is found. Best award booking services in 2026

None of the nine award booking services assessed, Point.me, Seats.aero, PointsYeah, 10xTravel, Cranky Concierge, JetBetter, ChatFlights, Juicy Miles and Award Logic, reaches the pass mark of 60, so none is ranked this year. The category sells trust with your points, and the scores fall on exactly that: success rates, account security and company details are rarely published. The rubric and pass mark were fixed before any service was scored, and a service that publishes the missing facts can be re-scored at the next update.

The pattern is consistent across the nine. Fees are usually published; what they buy is not. No service publishes a success rate or a money-back guarantee. Only 10xTravel publishes a policy on account logins, and only Point.me and 10xTravel name a founder and a company entity on their own sites. Trustpilot review counts are small everywhere except Point.me, whose 118 reviews average 3.4. Juicy Miles and Award Logic could not be assessed properly, because their sites could not be read at source.

How much award booking services cost in 2026

Full-service booking costs from US$65 (ChatFlights, economy within Europe) to US$650 or more per person: 10xTravel charges US$150 for the first passenger after a US$50 deposit, JetBetter from US$150 one way, Point.me US$200 per passenger and Cranky Concierge US$275 to US$650 or more; search tools cost far less, with Seats.aero Pro at US$9.99 a month. The published fee is rarely the whole cost, because taxes, surcharges and any points transfers are the traveller's.

Which award booking services charge only if they find a seat

10xTravel is the only service that charges its main fee only when it finds a suitable award, keeping just its US$50 deposit if it does not; JetBetter keeps its US$50 deposit as credit toward a future booking, and Point.me, Cranky Concierge and ChatFlights publish no no-seat policy. On a one-off search for scarce partner seats, that policy matters more than the headline fee. 10xTravel's own wording is that if no suitable award is found, "you won't owe anything more".

Search tools such as Seats.aero and PointsYeah show award seats for you to book yourself, for a subscription or free; booking services such as 10xTravel, JetBetter and Cranky Concierge find and book them for a fee per trip; Point.me sells both. Seats.aero's free tier searches 60 days ahead and its US$9.99-a-month Pro tier a full year across nearly two dozen programmes, according to Upgraded Points. PointsYeah lists transferable card currencies from Amex, Chase, Citi, Capital One and Bilt and hotel programmes from Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott, IHG, Choice and Wyndham, but shows no premium price. For someone booking several trips a year, a tool costs less than one concierge fee; for a single complicated trip, a service may be worth it.

Do award booking services need your frequent-flyer login?

Only 10xTravel publishes a policy, and it is the one to want: it will not book through your account and asks customers not to share passwords, usernames or other sensitive information. The 10xTravel page says it "can't accept the liability of handling your passwords". None of the other eight publishes a policy on the pages checked. Before giving any service access to a loyalty account, ask in writing how the login is stored and who can use it.

Three rules before paying for an award search

1 · Prefer a fee that is only due when a seat is found. 10xTravel publishes that model; ask any other service for its no-seat policy in writing.

2 · Do not hand over a loyalty login without a written policy. Only 10xTravel publishes one, and it refuses logins. Points can be transferred and tickets booked by you once a service has found the seat.

What changed for award booking services

Two dated changes shape the category in 2026: Point.me's funding and the spread of subscription search tools.

5 September 2023. Point.me raised US$10 million in a Series A, reported by TechCrunch; its own funding page now lists US$27 million raised across three rounds.

2026. Seats.aero's terms price Pro at US$9.99 a month or US$99.99 a year, and PointsYeah describes itself as NerdWallet's best award search tool of 2026.
