What should I check before signing with a flight compensation company?

By Richard Jasinski·Updated 4 November 2026

Eight things to check before signing with a flight compensation company, with how many of the 23 claims companies we read publish each one on their own website.

What should I check before signing with a flight compensation company?

Before you sign, check eight things: who the company is, the fee, whether VAT is in it, the court terms, what you owe if the airline pays you directly, how to cancel, how you are paid and its reviews. Of the 23 claims companies we read, 12 name cases where you can owe money without winning through them.

How the counts were made. For each check, the number of the 23 claims companies in the Uncompromised Travel flight compensation table whose own website states the fact, read on 20 October 2026. A company that does not state it is not counted, which is not the same as not having it. No company paid to be on this page.

1. Who is the company?

The company behind the brand, so you know who you sign with (counted where the site names any company entity, even without a register number).

18 of the 23 name a company entity behind the brand: AirAdvisor, AirCashBack, AirClaim, AviFly, Bott and Co, ClaimFlights, Click2Refund, FairPlane, Flight-Delayed, FlightCompensations, Flightright, Indemniflight, MYFLYRIGHT, Reclamador, ReFly, Refund Pilot, RefundMore and Skycop.

2. What is the fee?

The success fee as a figure, before you sign, not after.

20 of the 23 publish a fee figure: Air Indemnité, AirAdvisor, AirCashBack, AirClaim, AirHelp, AviFly, ClaimFlights, Compensation2Go, FairPlane, Flight-Delayed, FlightCompensations, Flightright, FlyClaims, Indemniflight, MYFLYRIGHT, Reclamador, Refund Pilot, RefundMore, Skycop and SkyRefund.

3. Is VAT in the fee or on top?

A fee plus VAT costs more than the same figure including VAT.

16 of the 23 say clearly whether VAT is included: Air Indemnité, AirClaim, AirHelp, AviFly, ClaimFlights, Compensation2Go, FairPlane, Flight-Delayed, Flightright, FlyClaims, Indemniflight, MYFLYRIGHT, Reclamador, RefundMore, Skycop and SkyRefund.

4. What does court cost?

Some companies charge more if the case goes to court; some do not.

20 of the 23 state their court terms: Air Indemnité, AirCashBack, AirClaim, AirHelp, AviFly, ClaimFlights, Click2Refund, Compensation2Go, FairPlane, Flight-Delayed, FlightCompensations, Flightright, FlyClaims, Indemniflight, MYFLYRIGHT, Reclamador, ReFly, Refund Pilot, RefundMore and Skycop.

5. What if the airline pays you directly?

Several companies still charge their fee, or more, if the airline pays you instead of them.

12 of the 23 say what you owe in that case or in other exceptions: AirCashBack, AirClaim, AviFly, Bott and Co, ClaimFlights, FairPlane, Flight-Delayed, Flightright, MYFLYRIGHT, RefundMore, Skycop and FlightCompensations.

6. Can you cancel?

Most give 14 days from signing; some charge once work has started.

12 of the 23 say how to cancel: AirCashBack, AirClaim, AviFly, Bott and Co, FairPlane, Flight-Delayed, FlightCompensations, Flightright, FlyClaims, MYFLYRIGHT, RefundMore and Skycop.

7. How and when are you paid?

The method and whether bank or currency fees come off your money.

20 of the 23 say how they pay you: AirAdvisor, AirCashBack, AirClaim, AirHelp, AviFly, ClaimFlights, Compensation2Go, FairPlane, Flight-Delayed, FlightCompensations, Flightright, FlyClaims, Indemniflight, MYFLYRIGHT, Reclamador, ReFly, Refund Pilot, RefundMore, Skycop and SkyRefund.

8. What do other customers say?

A review profile in the company's own name, with the number of reviews and how recent they are.

19 of the 23 have a Trustpilot profile in their own name: Air Indemnité, AirAdvisor, AirCashBack, AirClaim, AirHelp, AviFly, Bott and Co, ClaimFlights, Click2Refund, Compensation2Go, FairPlane, Flightright, Indemniflight, MYFLYRIGHT, Reclamador, ReFly, RefundMore, Skycop and SkyRefund.

Built to answer the question in the main heading. What is shown: what each claims company published on its own website, read on 20 October 2026, from the Uncompromised Travel flight compensation table. Left out: companies whose websites would not open, a company whose activities were taken over by another, a company whose address opens another company's site, services that pass the claim to other companies and one company whose fee page is being re-read. Counts are worked out on this page from the table. How this site earns · How we work.
