Who receives the money when one person claims for a whole booking?
By Richard Jasinski·Updated 4 November 2026
7 of the claims companies in the Uncompromised Travel table say who is paid when one person claims for everyone: at Flight-Delayed, MYFLYRIGHT, RefundMore and FlightCompensations it is the person who filed, who must share it; at AirCashBack and FairPlane each passenger is paid separately.
Who receives the money when one person claims for a whole booking?
If you claim for a family or group, check this before you file: Flight-Delayed, MYFLYRIGHT, RefundMore and FlightCompensations pay the one person who filed, who passes on the shares; AirCashBack and FairPlane treat each passenger as a separate case; Flightright forwards each co-traveller's share.

Claiming for a whole booking: the questions people ask
Is the compensation per passenger?
Yes, each passenger on the booking is owed their own amount; the companies differ in who it is paid to and in their fees.
Does each passenger pay a fee?
Yes: at FlightCompensations one €39 fee each and at RefundMore a fee taken per passenger; at the others a percentage of each passenger's compensation.
Which of these companies have reviews on Trustpilot?
5 of the 7: AirCashBack, FairPlane, Flightright, MYFLYRIGHT and RefundMore. Each card shows the rating, the number of reviews and the newest review date, read on the day shown.
Do these companies charge a fee if they win?
AirCashBack, FairPlane, Flight-Delayed, FlightCompensations, Flightright, MYFLYRIGHT and RefundMore publish a fee figure on their own websites. Each card gives the fee as the company states it, with its conditions, such as VAT or a separate court fee.
Can I claim without a claims company?
Yes. You can claim from the airline directly and for free; in the UK or EU you can go on to the national enforcement body or an approved dispute scheme if the airline refuses. A claims company takes a share of the compensation for doing that work for you.
Where can I check these facts myself?
Each card links the pages of the company's own website its lines were read from, under Sources, with the date they were read.
How were these companies chosen?
Each one is a claims company in the Uncompromised Travel flight compensation table and its own website says who is paid when one person claims for others on the booking. A company is on the page because its published facts fit the question, never because it paid.
Is any company on this page paying to be here?
No. No company on this page is a partner of Uncompromised Travel; none paid to be listed.
