Two hotels still listed in many 2027 round-ups have new dates.
Janu Dubai, Aman Group’s Janu in DIFC, designed by Herzog & de Meuron: announced for 2027, but Janu’s own page now says it opens in 2029.
Six Senses Loire Valley, at the Les Bordes Estate in the Sologne forest: Six Senses’ page still says 2027, but the estate’s owner now gives mid to late 2028.
Dates move in this category. Nine of the fourteen above have already been pushed back at least once, among them the Gstaad, Belize, Crete, Milan and Cortina hotels.
How do you know a 2027 opening date is real?
Three signs that a hotel is close: a general manager has been named, the brand gives a season or a month rather than a year, and reservations are open. Of the fourteen, only Cambridge House and the Park Hyatt Mexico City take bookings today, and both give a month. A hotel that lists only “2027” and a reservation enquiry form is still a target.
What is the most anticipated hotel opening of 2027?
There is no single answer, but the most watched are conversions of famous hotels: the Gellért in Budapest under Mandarin Oriental, the Cristallo in Cortina, The Park Gstaad under Four Seasons and Cambridge House on Piccadilly in London.
Which 2027 luxury hotels can you book now?
As of 15 October 2026, Cambridge House, Auberge Collection in London takes bookings by phone for February 2027 onwards, and the Park Hyatt Mexico City Polanco takes bookings for stays from 1 April 2027. The others offer enquiry forms or waiting lists.
When does Cambridge House in London open?
Cambridge House, Auberge Collection is due to open in February 2027, according to trade reports from September 2026. Auberge itself says 2027.
When does the Mandarin Oriental Gellért in Budapest open?
Mandarin Oriental has said 2027 since announcing the hotel in December 2023, without a month. The hotel has been closed for restoration since December 2021.
Is Janu Dubai opening in 2027?
No. Janu Dubai was announced for 2027, but Janu’s own website now says it opens in 2029.
When does The Nell New York open?
The Nell New York, in Rockefeller Center, is due to open in autumn 2027, with 134 rooms.
Should I book a hotel in its first months?
It can pay off, with opening offers and new rooms, but openings are often delayed and services can be uneven at first. Book with flexible terms and check the opening date again before you travel.
