Swan Hellenic does not publish the owners of its Cyprus contracting company; its UK company is controlled by chief executive Andrea Zito, who holds 75% or more of its shares.

The brand began in 1950 and passed through several owners before a new consortium bought the rights in 2019. Today every booking is with Swan Hellenic Travel Ltd. in Nicosia, according to its terms, with Swan Hellenic Limited in London and an office in Düsseldorf named only as representatives. Companies House lists Andrea Zito as holding 75% or more of the London company.

How much does a Swan Hellenic voyage cost?

Swan Hellenic publishes no fare for any voyage: its calendar and destination pages give the ship, dates, nights and route, and the price comes only by enquiry. No reseller page with a current Swan Hellenic fare could be found on 25 September 2026. The voyages below were read on its own cruise calendar and Antarctic page.

Its Antarctic page describes the voyages as "fully inclusive": accommodation, all dining, selected drinks, Zodiac landings, lectures, expedition gear, gratuities and basic Wi-Fi. It announced 33 Antarctic voyages for 2026-27 and 34 for 2027-28 in March 2026, saying 65% of capacity was already booked. Swan Hellenic booking terms and financial protection

Swan Hellenic takes a 20% deposit, 30% for suites, and the balance 120 days before departure, but its cancellation fee table did not open to our reader.

The terms, published April 2026, give no ATOL or ABTA number, so a UK buyer contracts with a Cyprus company whose stated cover is the ACTA bond. Swan Hellenic was not among the members the association's site showed our reader, which listed only part of its roster. Who guides a Swan Hellenic voyage

Swan Hellenic names none of its expedition staff: its expedition team page describes carefully selected lecturers and guest speakers without naming any.

Guest lecturers are featured on particular voyages, such as the historian Peter Frankopan aboard SH Vega, covered by the Financial Times in August 2026, according to its latest news. Swan Hellenic publishes no 24-hour number: its guest lines in eight markets, including the US line, +1 800 537 6777, give no hours, and none is labelled for emergencies.

Swan Hellenic suits travellers who want a small inclusive ship of up to 152 guests, a cultural slant with guest lecturers, and voyages well beyond the poles, from New Zealand to the Basque coast.

It suits less well a buyer who wants to compare fares before calling, or a UK buyer who wants an ATOL number.
