This is the journey for a first, deep taste of the country. You stay in Mostar and travel out from it: the cliffside village of Blagaj, the stone town of Počitelj, the great Kravice waterfalls, and the monastery cellars of Trebinje. Everything is private, everything is paced for pleasure rather than ticking boxes, and your resident host Belma is with you throughout.
You're met on arrival and driven to your hotel in Mostar's old town, your base for all three nights. Once the day-trippers have gone, Belma walks you onto the Stari Most for the evening light, then a first dinner of Herzegovinian cooking at a reserved table above the Neretva.
A morning run south to Blagaj, where the dervish house stands over the turquoise Buna spring, then on to the stone Ottoman town of Počitelj, climbed before the heat of the day. A long lunch by the water, and back to Mostar for the night.
A private morning beneath the Kravice waterfalls before the crowds arrive, then east to Trebinje to taste indigenous Žilavka and Blatina in the monastery cellars. You return to Mostar in the evening for your final night.
An unhurried final morning — coffee the Bosnian way, a last wander through the bazaar — before your private transfer to the airport or onward to the Croatian coast.
