Everything in the Grand Tour, then deeper — the Konjic bunker, the Sutjeska forest, fly-fishing the Una, and a day held entirely open. The country, fully.
Ten days, fully bespoke — the most complete journey through Bosnia we offer, with the time and freedom to go where the country takes you.
This is the Grand Tour with room to breathe and reach further: the Cold-War bunker at Konjic, two days in the primeval Perućica forest, fly-fishing the Una, and a day left entirely open to shape on the ground. It is the journey for travellers who want not a tour of Bosnia but an understanding of it. Designed and led, as always, by Belma.
Met at Dubrovnik and across the border within the hour. Your first night is in sun-warmed Trebinje, dinner in its old square.
A morning of indigenous wine in the monastery cellars, then north to Mostar, arriving as the bridge lamps come on. Two nights here.
The full Neretva valley from your Mostar base — the bridge at dawn, the dervish house at Blagaj, the fortress town of Počitelj. A second Mostar night.
On the road north you descend into Tito's vast Cold-War bunker beneath the mountains at Konjic — a secret command city built to survive the unthinkable. You continue to Sarajevo for the night.
An unhurried full day in the city with the doors open — not the highlight reel but its coffee houses, hidden courtyards and layered history. A second Sarajevo night.
South-east into Bosnia's wildest country — Sutjeska National Park, beneath Maglić, the country's highest peak. You stay two nights at a mountain base inside the park.
A full day in Perućica, one of the last untouched forests in Europe — ancient beech, glacial lakes, and the 70-metre Skakavac falls, as much or as little walking as you wish. A second night in the park.
A long, beautiful crossing north-west to Jajce — the medieval town where the Pliva river falls right beside the streets. You overnight here before the final leg.
On to the emerald Una in Bosnia's far north-west — the Štrbački Buk falls and, for those who want it, a guided day's fly-fishing on one of Europe's clearest rivers. Your final night is near the river at Bihać.
A final slow morning by the Una before your private transfer onward — most easily to Zagreb for international flights, or back to Sarajevo. You'll have seen Bosnia more completely than almost anyone who visits it.
